Bassier, Bergmann & Kindler sets up mobile subsidiary
Integrated product range for mobile applications, websites and training platforms

Date: 24 March 2011
The new media agency continues to develop its mobile activities with the foundation of Bassier, Bergmann & Kindler Mobile Specialists GmbH. The specialists offer mobile applications, websites and campaigns for end customers as well as mobile applications and training platforms for staff at companies. The Managing Director is Christian Kammler who previously headed the mobile agency Four2B. Its registered office is in Oberhausen.

Within the overall product range of BB&K, the agency offers a one-stop shopping solution for conceptual planning, design and development. BB&K partners Michael Bassier and Thomas Kindler put it like this: “We want to offer an integrated approach where mobile solutions work together with other channels and activities in a way that delivers added value.” In doing so, the agency relies on the technical expertise of the fifteen members of a Mobile Team as well as on BB&K’s twelve years of digital brand and training experience. “We are very clearly content-driven,” says Thomas Kindler, “while the mobile applications company gives us a technically clean way of putting our ideas and concepts on the high street.”

The Managing Director of the new company is Christian Kammler (33). He is also a Member of the Board of the BB&K Group. Kammler has a degree in engineering and has previously headed the mobile agency Four2B, a spin-off of Gelsenkirchen University of Applied Science.

The reason for founding this company is the amazing dynamics of the mobile channel. “Mobile applications have clearly left the youth research stage. Anyone wanting to survive in this sector needs wide-ranging expertise and a view of mobile applications as a multi-channel approach,” says Thomas Kindler.

Looking at their target group and thus end customers, the mobile specialists believe that in addition to developing mobile applications for smartphones, there is above all potential for value-added content for tablets. Tablets offer some attractive added value, especially as POS-based tools in the promotion of sales and services. “It’s not a matter of copying a catalogue one-to-one onto an iPad. Rather, we need to create added value by ensuring a sustainable improvement in people’s shopping experience,” says Christian Kammler.

He also points out that mobile applications are still relatively unknown for use within companies. Kammler reckons that this area still has considerable potential, providing staff with mobile tools that will make their day-to-day work both simpler and more efficient. Moreover, mobile applications should also gain in significance in staff development, as a way of supplementing existing training channels. Complex content could, for instance, be presented as multi-media content via tablets in classroom teaching.
